the joys of summertime...

Black Eyes
and
Bee Stings
the Black Eye
I took the kids with me school shopping at Old Navy.
Ethan & Logan were running around and I just got finished telling them to stop running around before someone gets hurt when Ethan tripped and fell hitting his eye on the corner of a bench. Ethan hit the bench so hard he had a open gash and his black eye was visible 20 minutes later.
the Bee Sting
-my poor little Logan-
He was playing outside running in the grass
minding his own business and was stung
by some really aggressive wasps.
Those nasty bees!

our little fisherman

Here fishy... Fishy... FISHY!!!
Ethan went on his first fishing trip with Daddy & Papa.
Daddy & Ethan with their catch of the day!
They caught 101 salmon and 1 flounder in one day!
What exellent fishermen! Good work boys!

Kylee's first word!

With every baby Peter and I have a little
competion to see what the baby's first word
will be. He has won twice in the past. Ethan
and Jolee both said "Da Da" first. I only had
one point so far - Logan said "Momma" first.
Peter and I were both wondering which way
Kylee would go...
would it be DaDa
or
would it be Momma
July 18th Kylee said... Momma!
That's my girl! Peter & I are 2 for 2 now.
The next kid will be the tie breaker...
we will have to see!

July 25th she got up onto her hands and knees!
June 21st she started rolling over!

Sweet Pea*

My little Kylee is 6 months old TODAY!
How the time really flys by!
It has been fun to watch her grow.
Her hair isn't dark auburn anymore.
It has really lightened up quite nicely.
Jolee thinks it looks more like gold sunshine!
I love all of her little rolls and dimples!
They are so much fun to snack on - yummy!

Such cute tootsies!
We simply adore all those pump little piggy's!

~My sweet GRAM made her this beautiful little quilt~
We just love it! Thank you GRAM!
We have been so blessed to have such a beautiful, vibrant, happy little baby girl. Kylee has truly enriched our family. We can't ever have imagined a life without her. We are so thankful to our Heavenly Father for giving us such a sweet little spirit.
We love you Koala Bear!

Best Friends 4ever

Treat your friends as you do your pictures,
and place them in their best light.

A true friend reaches for your hand
and touches your heart.

A friend accepts us as we are yet helps us to be what we should.

Trina*
The most beautiful discovery that true friends can make
is that they can grow separately without growing apart.
~Elizabeth Foley~
Molley*
Friends are relatives you make for yourself.
~Eustache Deschamps~
I have been so blessed to have amazing friends that are so talented, honest, compassionate, strong, & beautiful. I admire each one of them for the women that they have become. We compliment each other well with our many similarities. And although each of us has come from a different past and life experiences I can appreciate what makes us each special & unique. Now that Molley has moved and is off to Colorado on a new adventure I feel as if a part of me is missing... missing Molley. Weather we are right next door or miles apart, best friends are always close in heart.
to: Lizzie, Trina, & Molley
Thank you for all of the wonderful memories shared, service rendered at the last minute, love, laughter, & the true friendship you have given me. I look forward to many more "girls nights out" together.
I love you the most! ~ Sara*

My LITTLE Brother

This is LATHEN
my baby brother... but as you can see
he is anything but a baby!
At 18 he is 6 feet 4 inches TALL & still growing!
I love that my little brother towers over me
~ & I am NO shorty!
Lathen, Gram, & Bob
Our sweet Gram stands tall @ 5'1"
& the difference between her and Lathen is a steep 16 inches!

Lathen is quite the Basket Ball All-STAR*!

When he isn't pumping iron he is on the floor doing push-ups! Almost every time I see him he wants me to punch him in the stomach as hard as I possibly can. One may wonder Why?... and that would be a good question. I will tell you why... because he has ROCK HARD ABS of STEEL - that's why!?! Lathen is nothing short of a lean mean Basket Ball machine. And on top of everything totally AWESOME about him he is a WONDERFUL brother - I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I love you Lathe - your favorite sister, Sara*

Uncle Matthew

As the 4th of July approaches
our thoughts turn to all those fighting overseas
to protect & keep us free.
Free from all those who seek to take away those rights which we value.
Thank you for your service!
Thank you for your bravery!
Thank you for your sacrifice!
Peter's brother, Matthew, is one of those men who is
currently deployed in Iraq.
He is serving his 3rd tour of duty @ the young age of 23.
Matthew is a fun-loving Uncle,
amazing brother,
wonderful son,
a fearless marine,
& a red blooded American.
Matthew our thoughts and prayers are with you always
as you proudly serve our country.
We pray that you may return home safely & soon. We love & miss you dearly.
~ with love always ~

Brother's & Sister's

Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.

Jolee 6 years old
Ethan 4 1/2 years old, Kylee 5 1/2 months old,

I, who have no sisters or brothers,
look with some degree of innocent envy
on those who may be said to be born to friends.

A sister is a gift to the heart,
a friend to the spirit,
a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Sometimes being a brother
is even better than being a superhero.

the joyful moments of the present,
