Momma's Baby Girl*

A funny thing happened about a week and a half ago... Kylee began to have a preference as to who she wanted to hold her. I would give her to Peter to hold her and she would look at him then back at me. Then her teeny tiny little lips would begin to quiver and she would cry. So Peter would hand her back over to me and almost immediately she would stop. Just for kicks I gave her back to Peter - she cried. He gave her back to me - she stopped. It is the same way with my parents... she will go to Grammy but cries when Grampy picks her up. And after many failed attempts of from Daddy, Uncles, & Grampa's we have come to the conclusion that...
KYLEE DOES NOT LIKE BOYS!!!

I am sure it is just a phase and that Daddy will win her over again & again. But for now I will enjoy this time with her. And when I am old and she is all grown up and wants nothing to do with me I will always remember, this time, when...

Black Eye or Mosquito Bite?

When Jolee woke up with a black eye yesterday

we weren't sure what had happened.

We asked her if she bumped it or if she hit it on accident.

Her response to us was, "I don't have any idea."

Then I remembered that the evening before

she had gotten a mosquito bite on the corner of her eye.

Apparently Jolee had a severe allergic reaction to the

mosquito bite inwhich caused her eye to bruise

and blow up like a balloon.

It is a beautiful June day. The sun is out and their isn't a cloud in the sky. And I am sitting on the front porch with my little baby in my lap, my Mom, my sweet Gramma, & my Great Grandma. As we enjoy the warmth of the sun we visit & giggle. The sound of the children playing in the yard is a joyful distraction. While the flowers begin to bloom at our feet. What a wonderful day. What a wonderful memory. What a wonderful legacy.
