Sha-Poopie

Ethan & Logan
DOUBLE TROUBLE!!
Last night I awoke from the dead of my sleep to the cries of little chicks peep, peep, peeping. I soon discovered that my two mischievous little rascals had decided to smuggle the baby chicks up to their room in a blanket so as not to be detected as they snuck by Mommy & Daddy's room to get to theirs. (Daddy has been working the graveyard shift for the last four months and isn't home at night sleeping when everyone else is sleeping.) They thought the chicks would have so much more fun playing toys in their room with them rather than sleeping peacefully. When I entered their bedroom I found the chicks stashed among their things. Blueberry was the main attraction at the Little People Zoo! Green Marshmallow was kickin' it with Batman & Robin in the Bat Cave! Orange Juice was struttin' his stuff in the play kitchen sink! Pinkie Pie & Sunny were trying to rustle up some grub diggin' through the carpet running around the bedroom floor among their Wall-E and Lighting McQueen toys! Although I could see it - I was still in disbelief. Frusterated and tired, I yelled, "What is going on HERE!" I startled them pretty good. "Nothing." was the immediate "Uh-oh, we're in trouble" response. I scolded them and told them that it was unacceptable to bring the chicken's up to their room to poop all over the place. As I scanned the room for any chickie poops about the floor. I was pleasently surprised to not find anything. I quickly gathered all of the baby chicks up and took them down stairs to put them back in their rubber tote to sleep. When I soon discovered that upon releasing all of the chicken's and rounding them up to take upstairs to play toys the chick's had been startled and pooped all over the floor! It was like a mine field downstairs! I was finding sha-poopie EVERYWHERE!!! Needless to say I was not very happy and decided to call Peter at work to tell him the whole horrible ordeal so that he could sympathize, help me calm down, and tell me it would all be fine in the morning. But when I started to tell him what had happened I couldn't even finish because he began to laugh. And he laughed harder, and HARDER, and HARDER! I was so annoyed and began to grow more angry the more he laughed! I wasn't ready to laugh about it yet. And although I STILL don't find it in the least BIT funny - one day - (not anytime soon) I know I will.

Which came first: the chicken or the egg?

TOP:
Logan - is playing pretend with his favorite chick, Orange Juice. They are playing "pirates" and Orange Juice is the trusty parrot sidekick.
Kylee - is being over run by little fuzzy baby chicks... Aaahhhh! She isn't quite sure if she likes them or not... they sure do taste FUNNY!

BOTTOM:
Jolee - is overjoyed that she gets to take the chicks home and raise them! Well until they are big enough to stay at Papa's house with all of the other chickens in the chicken coop - to live out their fulling lives as egg layers or the main ingredient in "chicken" pot pie! YUMMY!!!
Ethan - is SURPRISED as you can see that the Easter Bunny left him some Easter Eggs already hatched! What a special treat! Not everybody is so lucky as to get colored chicks for Easter. How FUN is that?!

Easter Eggs:
This Easter for fun I purchased some "Easter Egg" baby chicks for the kids. They inject the eggs with food coloring about 2 days before they are due to hatch & they come out dyed all different colors. They were so adorable we couldn't say no. The kids named them all.

Jolee named her pink & purple baby chicks Pinkie Pie & Violet.
Logan named his yellow & orange fuzzy chicks Sunny & Orange Juice.
Ethan named his green & blue little chicks Green Marshmallow & Blueberry.

We tried to suggest names for Ethan's green chick such as... Kiwi, Lucky, Shamrock, Lime, & Apple. But all he could think of was how much he LOVES colored marshmallows!

My Happy Birthday*

Kylee and Mommy @ "Simon's"

Peter is such a wonderful husband! He surprised me for my 27th birthday by taking me to my favorite restaurant "Simon & Seaforts" I love the stuffed halibut there! It is to DIE for! We only go there for special occasions because it is quite spendy... worth it... but spendy! I look forward to going every year for our anniversary and any other time it just a TREAT! We had such a lovely time just the 2 of us (and baby Kylee of course) it was nice to have some alone time without all of the children in tow. Kylee is such a wonderful baby we enjoy her so much. She is so pleasant and such a happy girl. I had a wonderful birthday and look forward to being 27 ALL YEAR LONG!

"Go FISH!"

above: Kylee Alyssa Jane (3 months)
below: Logan Adam (3 years), Jolee Makena May (5 years), & Ethan Michael (4 years)

The kids were having a blast playing "go fish", old maid, and "uno" @ Grammy and Grampy's house with Uncle Duran & Auntie Ashley. Some of my favorite memories of home are of us playing games together as a family. Now that I am grown and playing games with my own children I appreciate that time I have with them so much more. We are making our own memories now that they will be able to remember and look back on with such joy! I love being a Mommy and enjoy each and every little spirit that Heavenly Father has blessed us with.

we had a baby - it's a girl*

Kylee Alyssa Jane Osborn
Here I am... six months pregnant! We are having a GIRL! Jolee is so excited!
We are having a baby today, January 9th 2009, on this FREEZING (-0) winter day.
No wonder she doesn't want to come out and meet the world - it is way too COLD!
It is 3:09 pm and our little Baby Girl is finally here!
Being born sunny side up it took me 10 minutes to push her out!
Peter and I are so happy to finally meet our sweet little baby!
She is perfect in every way - and sooooo tiny!
It was such an amazing experience to have all the people I love here to support me.
My doting husband - Peter, my Mom - Jane, my mother-in-law - Ginger,
my best friend - Lizzie, & my sister-in-law - Ashley.
The only one missing was my sweet Gramma.
Peter's Mom works in Mother-Baby @ Providence Hospital here in Anchorage.
We love having her here with us for all of our delivery's.
precious little hands
She looks like a baby Koala Bear
I am soooo tired and hungry right now - I really want a turkey sandwhich!
My Best Friend Lizzie
The baby is getting all of the necessary bells and whistle's so that no one steals my baby.
Nurse Marla here at Providence "salon & spa" is giving the baby her first shampoo.
Here she is all clean and swaddled cuddling with Nana.
Proud Nana of 5!
Jolee finally gets to hold her baby sister for the first time!
Logan a Jolee discover that the baby has HAIR!
Grampy is all dusty from work and to keep the dust under control
he is wearing the standard "pink" nighty.
Logan, Ethan, & Jolee are unwrapping her so they can check out all of her tiny fingers and toes.
When Jolee was done inspecting every nook and cranny she came to the conclusion:
"She is so very pretty! But why does she have fur on her face?"
(she was refering to her fuzzy side-burns)
Logan is anxious to hold his little baby sister for the first time.
Here is my brother Duran with his sweet little wife Ashley.
Peter and I are still discussing baby names. He likes Kylee and I like Janey.
I called her Kylee unconciously a few times through the first night
and thought to myself Kylee must be her name!
Daddy's little baby girl
Logan loves his baby sister and begs to hold her all the time
