Whirlwind Trip to Phoenix

We were scheduled to land in Seattle . . . but due to the FREAK freezing rain/ice storm there we hovered over for an extra hour and then were detoured to Portland where they were having record flooding due to the crazy rain storm there. We survived after having a 2 day layover in Portland and by the kindness of complete strangers and amazing Alaska Airlines angels my Momma, my little Davey Baby, and I finally made it to Phoenix! Although we lost the first 2 days we were so blessed to make it all the way to our destination to see my Grampa Jordan. I sure did miss him. It had been a year since our last visit. And David was a newborn . . . now he is 1 and a growing into quite the little man on the go. Running, running, running . . . we sure are busy at the Osborn house, and Grampa's house is no different. Going, going, going . . .

After all that work cleaning, scrubbing, and moving furniture . . . cooking meals and cooking ahead freezer meals . . . this Cinderella and her Fairy Momma met up with some new wonderful fun friends(Tifani, Misty,& Beverly) and we all made our way to the Cheesecake Factory for some much needed CHEESECAKE!!! Yummo . . . we had to try a few . . . banana cream cheesecake, herseys chocolate cheesecake, lemon raspberry cream cheesecake, and carrot cake cheesecake . . . I can still taste them they were all so good I can't pick a favorite!

What is a trip without a little detour to the mall for a few necessities, right?!

To my sweet Momma and my sweet boy! Thanks for all of the fun nights we lay awake giggling!! Those are memories that I will never forget and will always treasure. Mom, you are my very best friend, I love you so much . . . the most!!

Grampa, until the next time we play a mean game of domino's I want you to know that I love you the most . . . may God be with you till we meet again.

It has been an AMAZING year starting with the birth of our 5th baby -- David Gray, born on the 1st of January, 2011. He is so beautiful, has such a sweet spirit, & is such a wonderful baby in every way! He has made our family feel so complete. We love him so much. We had our first trip to Disneyland with the kids this year while visiting our favorite cousins Emma & Sam.(We are going to try and have Jolee baptized with her cousin Emma before she turns 9 if all works out. If not the back up plan is to have her baptized in April 2012 before her 9th birthday.) Jolee turned 8 on Mother's Day this last May. She is such a beautiful young lady! Jolee is also still doing ballet for the 2nd semester and loves it so much. It has really been a good experience for her. I love to watch her dance, she is so beautiful and is starting to become almost graceful. She is in 3rd grade this year, we love her teacher Mrs. Phares, she is wonderful. Ethan turned 7 in October and is in 1st grade. We love his teacher Mrs. Stewart (we love all of the kids teachers -- they are amazing). He is thriving and loves to read. He had straight O's on his last report card! We are so proud of him. Logan is finally 6 years old this year and is in a Kindergarten/1st grade split level class this year. He loves his teacher(s), Mrs. Hunt & Mrs. Dahlseng, he loves his class, he loves everything about school. He has waited soooo long to go to school and be a big boy already. This is his year! Both of the boys are in Karate together and love their class. They have karate three times a week - Monday, Wednesday, & Saturday's. It keeps us very busy, but they love to go. Kylee is our little flower. She is 2 going on 17! I swear that girl is a 17 year old trapped in a toddlers body. So independent, so sweet, so loving, & so much drama!! She is our little baby girl and is growing up all too quickly. She will be 3 in January . . . just around the corner. She loves Princess Rapunzel(from Tangled) or Princess Punzel as Kylee calls her. She is "my flower", her hair is so "soft and silky like golden sunshine"(as Kylee would say about her own hair). She loves and adores her big sister Jolee and wants to be a ballerina just like her. Kylee's favorite colors are Pink & Purple! She loves to "dress up", always in dress or tutu, high heels, a purse or two, and some bling bling! David has grown all to quickly over the last 11 1/2 months. I am not ready for my baby boy to be 1 years old yet. . . I just had that boy!! Where does the time go. David loves to walk on his knees, which is very fun to watch. He takes 4-5 steps at a time but would rather walk on his knees or crawl - which he is very quick at! He loves to go up and down the stairs all day long laughing as he goes. David loves yogurt melts. He growls with excitement when he sees them. He loves to feed himself -- which can be very messy! And he loves to take a bath or swim in the pool. All my babies have been water babies, they have never cried when I have given them a bath. David has 4 teeth finally after months of waiting for teeth to come in. He had his first tooth @ 9 months and the 2nd one followed 3 weeks later, and 3 weeks after that his 3rd tooth broke through the gums and the 4th one just popped out a week & a half ago after many long and sleepless nights!! To say the least I am tired and that is the only thing I have to complain about. David is the perfect baby. So happy, so quiet, so content. He is the best baby to end my baby makin' career with. Sadly we are done . . . we have filled up our house, we have filled up our van, we have no more room to spare. Our home and hearts are full of children that the Lord has blessed us with. We are healthy, happy, and we have each other to go through our lives passing year into the next together. Merry Christmas!

The first few attempts to pull out his tooth was with dental floss. The floss didn't seem to want to stay wrapped around his tooth long enough for Grampy to yank it out.

So with Ethan's permission Grampy wanted to try it with plyers. Ethan was totally game! So they did just that.

And the rest is history! Ethan was so excited he didn't even know it came out of his mouth. He didn't even feel a thing! He can't wait to leave it for the tooth fairy!

To say that I am passionate about pictures would be accurate. I love taking them, having them taken (not necessarily of me of course), displaying them, and love... love... love... looking at them. There is something so special about capturing that moment in time, the innocence of a child's sweet face. So new to the world, everything is amazing & wonderful. I love preserving that legacy for my children. Sadly they grow all to quickly. What a special keepsake, to have for always, to look back on and remember how it all was "Once Upon a Time".

Here is my last baby. My sweet boy, David Gray, wearing the same white tuxedo with tails that my older 2 boys Ethan & Logan wore not so long ago. And here he is captured on film for me to look back and remember he once was my little baby, and to me he always will be, no matter how big he gets.

Kylee is our pretty pink flower. She, like her big sister Jolee, loves everything pink, everything princess, everything accessorised. She is the little girl you find wearing your favorite pair of heels, all of the jewelery she can find, a purse on each arm, and licking all of your Victoria Secret lip gloss off of her face, all while wearing her favorite frilly pink tutu. She is nothing but a girlie girl. My girlie girl.

There is nothing quite so wonderful as a little brother who is also your best friend!

Disneyland. . . the happiest place on earth

We can't wait to get outta the cold and the snow for some much needed warmth and bright sunshine!

Our little baby boy is about to have his first plane ride... how exciting! Hopefully he does well for take off and landing. Cross your fingers.

David did so well on the plane. What a natural! He is such a good baby. Flying must be in his blood.

The kids were surprised to find that we had magically arrived at the happiest place on earth... Disneyland!

Our poor sweet Kylee girl feel down in the parking lot right before we entered Disneyland and skinned her chin up pretty badly. Good thing Mommy was prepared for scraps and packed the bandaids!

Not long after we arrived Kylee made her classic zoned-out tired face and passed out cold for the next few hours.

David zonked out not long after Kylee did and slept peacefully for a couple of hours. He is such a wonderful baby! He has just fit perfectly into our little family so well. We just love him so much.

Our kids were dying to ride the mono-rail around the park with their cousin Emma.

Ethan, Logan, & Jolee have been begging for months & months to go and see cousin Emma for a LONG time! They couldn't wait to hop on a plane to go to Emma's World to have some fun! (AKA California)

In other words... "You get what you get, and you don't pitch a fit."

As you approach Pixie Hollow the grass and flowers around you start to grow ever bigger and bigger... either they are larger or we are smaller... how enchanting!

We just so happened to stumble upon Lizzie's Notebook that she seemed to have left out in the meadow.

The Animal Fairy, Fawn, found us here among the flowers as she was helping the little woodland creatures that lived here around Pixie Hollow.

Much to her surprise we were NOT pixie's - for we had no wings you see. How odd to find wingless pixies wandering about the flowers. How very strange indeed.

Kylee was so awe-struck at seeing Fawn in real life. She wasn't sure what to think. She loves all the FAIRIES that live in Pixie Hollow! But Tink most of all!

Kylee is still in shock that she isn't watching her cartoon at home, but that she is really here with Fawn! It is true when they say a picture is worth a thousand words. The look on her face is simply priceless.

It's none other than Miss Bell herself with Jolee ~ How cute is that?!?

Tinker Bell started to hold out her hands for Kylee to hug her, and before Peter could finsih the question Kylee jumps out of his arms and into Tink's. You don't have to ask her twice.

This is the happiest place on earth. Look at that face... that is one happy girl!!! That is a Kodak moment if ever I saw one.

Our cousin, Sam, LOVES...LOVES...LOVES Lightening McQueen!!! To say anything less would be an understatement. He is going, going, going all day speeding around on his little Lightening McQueen riding toy car. And stashed away beneath the seat is all of his favorite CARS toys. He lives and breathes nothing but Lightening McQueen from the moment he wakes till he closes his eyes at night. So when he beheld the real, life size, deal he was in CARS heaven!

Jolee, Ethan, and Logan are astonished and amazed to see that they were REAL!

The kids can hardly contain their excitement! It's LIGHTENING McQUEEN! Need we say more...

Logan likes Tow Mater Best! Logan thinks he is pretty cool because he is sooo very funny!

Peter & Jolee and David & Emma went on the SCREAMIN Roller Coaster which was scarey fast! So fast I didn't even dare go. Mary and I tried to talk the girls out of going but they wanted to go... so we let them... and they loved it! I didn't get a picture of them on the roller coaster because they went SCREAMIN by us at the speed of light - so fast that we never saw them!

Here we all are waiting for the Color Show to start. We must have waited an hour down on the pier. The kids were starting to drop like flies. By the time it was time for the Color water show to begin we had to wake them up to watch it. Let me tell you it was well worth the wait to see. I have never seen anything like it. It was nothing short of beautiful, creative,& captivating. What an amazing feast to delight the eyes and the ears. If I could go back and do anything, see anything at Disney it would be that... again and again and again.

As we were driving out of Disneyland we told the kids to say "goodbye". (Because we didn't know when the next time will be - if ever - that we will go back. In other words... it's very expensive.) Kylee says without any prompting,"Goodbye Tink-ka Bell."

Emma's World . . . . .

is this magical far away land where it's warm all the time and fun possibilities are endless. Here, you can enjoy a nice evening stroll walking a gentle GIANT dog or jump...jump...jump yourself silly in a BIG BoUnCy house ~ or BOTH!! Where the Horse Ranch is just a short drive and one canyon over. In Emma's World creativity, dress up, and pretend play are encouraged. A place where you can dream up a tea party @ Starbucks, then *POOF* it happens! And as the smoke begins to clear you are being served by a your own personal server and sipping hot chocolaty goodness or warm apple pie in a cup all before you can tap your ruby red slippers together 3 times. You can swim OUTSIDE all day if you wanted in a heated swimming pool and take in some much needed sunshine. And where you can visit the Savior and feel of His love, presence, and comfort whenever your heart desired. Who wouldn't want to visit a beautiful place like Emma's World. If we could only bottle it up in all of it's wonderful goodness and take it home with us so we could enjoy it's enchantment whenever we wished.

To David, Mary, Emma, & Sam: Thank you for opening up your home and sharing memories and moments with us that will last a lifetime! We LOVE you!!!

Grampa Jordan

Arizona - Ready or Not - Here we come!!!

It would be silly to fly all the way to California and not hop over to Arizona for a quick visit to see Grampa Jordan. He will be 84 years old next month. And honestly a lot of things could happen sooner than later and I would never forgive myself if I didn't take the time to see him, and heaven forbid something happen before I get another chance to make the trip again.
The kids love staying there at his house. They have their own room there and Grampa has lots of fun things to do at his house with a heated pool close by, lots of warm sunshine, quite a few nice playgrounds located all throughout the neighborhood, baseball diamond across the street, an unlimited amount of rocks to climb on, collect, and throw. What more could you possibly ask for - it's a child's paradise!

Jolee is some old cuffs of Grampa's!
She is a prisoner of the state now.

My Grampa Jordan for the better part of his life has served in law enforcement. He was the Sheriff, to be more precise. I always thought my Grandfather was John Wayne growing up - He used to look just like him anyway. He has had many a gun fight. He was pronounced dead once. And he has even shot and killed a guy. It was shoot or be shot. He lived in the Wild West back in those days and someone had to lay down the law.

Logan & Jolee are enjoying the sweet pink grapefruit from the tree in the backyard. Yummo!

Grampa LOVES a good game of Domino's. Mexican Train, to be exact. And if he starts loosin', pug your ears, before he starts spoutin' like a sailor on the high seas!

Jolee jumped in for quite a number of games and did really well. We were all impressed how well she thought ahead and strategized her domino's without any help at all. Way to go baby girl!

Uncle Tracy came out to visit and play an entire game of Mexican Train (which is 13 rounds, for those of you whom have never played)and he brought a couple of his dogs for the kids to play with. Wiley E. Coyote - We call him "Wiley" for short, and Blanca - who is expecting a litter of puppies. The kids sure had fun walking them, or if you want to get a better visual... draggin' them around.

Kylee is busy doing her homework and writing down everyone's names. She is too cute. And WAY too smart for her own good. The girl never stops talking!!!

Funny thing is my Grampa calls me "Shorty" and I never have been very short.

David is 1 month old today!
Jolee is quite the little Mommy to baby David, and loves carrying him around like a little rag doll, despite all of the times her Momma tells her to "put the baby down".

Here we are all together with Grampa Jordan and he has his Lake Hood Elementary School T-shirt on that the great grankids gave to him. A little story about the T-shirt is that when I was going to Elementary my Mom sent him a T-shirt from my school, Pioneer Peak Elementary. And he STILL has it and wears it EVERYTIME we come to visit him. Sooo I thought it might be time to get him a new shirt and retire the old one. Just thinking of him in that red Pioneer Peak shirt makes me smile.

I love you Grampa! We are missing you already!

Later I found out that the cord was wrapped around his
neck 4 times!!!! He had a really long cord!

Although people ask me daily if Ethan & Logan are twins

they seem to be surprised when I tell them they are NOT.

But I can see how it could be a bit confusing. They're the

same size for the most part and only 13 months apart.

So the boys decided this year to do a TWIN Birthday

Party and forgo their individual parties for one together.

And the more I thought of it the more I wondered why I

had never thought of that myself. 1 Birthday Party for 2

boys. They have all of the same friends, like all of the

same things, less for me to do. I'm L-O-V-E-ing this idea!

Lathen FINALLY received his mission call in the mail. He was thrilled to announce that he would be going to McAllen, Texas on a Spanish speaking mission! McAllen is at the very very very bottom of Texas bordering Mexico and right next to the Gulf of Mexico. It is sure to be scorching HOT all the time! With plenty of hurricane action to be sure. Fun, Fun, Fun!!! Although we are all so very excited for him we are going to miss Lathen terribly!

The scenery is always beautiful no matter which way you look there is mountains to one side of you and the ocean on the other. We truly live in the most beautiful place on earth. Alaska is God's greatest masterpiece.

Jolee loves to clean all of the female salmon so that

she can collect and hold all of the fish eggs.

This is the New York Cheesecake topped with Raspberries that I made for my brother Lathen for his special day on Sunday. Yesterday Lathen was ordained an Elder. What made that day so special was that Gramma, my Parents, me & my family, and all of my brothers & all of their children were able to be there for the blessing. What a wonderful feeling to be all together for such a special blessing. And to have all of us active in the church with worthy Priesthood holders to participate. There was a lot of love in that small room.

Lathen's mission call should be arriving in the mail any day now and we love him so much & are all so excited for him!

Alaska Zoo Highlights!

Our first trip to the Alaska Zoo
although we have been to countless other zoo's in the U.S. this was our first trip to the zoo here at home in Alaska. The kids had a blast!

Our first stop was to visit the seals.

All of the kids really enjoyed watching them swim.

The otters were not as active, but nevertheless
always interesting and fun to observe.

It is so amazing to see how quickly they grow & learn!

Luckily however, my kids are such good sports and they understood... but it was quite sad. Oh-well maybe better luck next year!

This is our first family temple trip where all of the married children were able to attend together. With everyones hectic work schedules, planned vactions, & Loren leaving with his family for a 8 month job in Guam - today was our only chance to go together as a family to the temple. What a wonderful birthday present to spend my 28th birthday surrounded by the ones that I love in the temple together. This only streangths my testimony of the sealing powers of temple, that families really are forever, and that by going to the temple often that you will be blessed.

My First Day

After I reluctantly left my 4 sweet babies in

Alaska and I hopped a plane to Las Vegas.

This was my first adventure

without any of my children - EVER!

I was off to FRONT SIGHT -

for a 4 day defensive hand gun course!

Which for any of you who haven't

ventured to Pahrump, Nevada you will find it

located in the middle of the DESERT!

And once you have reached "the middle"

you will look around to find that you are truly

in the middle of NOWHERE!

Nevertheless...

it's the perfect location to shoot stuff.

Jolee loved visiting her cousin Emma so much! What a fun filled day they have spent together. They went to the Kid Space Museum together earlier that day. We had so much fun exploring the ant hill & pretending to be ants, climbing the blue glass steps all the way to the tippy top, participating in the bike race on the race track, uncovering ancient dinosaur bones, & building a play house with giant blocks! And the fun didn't end there. The kids played for a bit at the park before we were invited over to Emma's house to play dress up! Needless to say Jolee was tickled pink. Peter and I were very humbled and honored by their welcoming invitation. I loved every moment of being there ~ just to be a flower on the wall ~ observing every interaction between Emma & Sam and Jolee, Ethan, Logan, & Kylee. Peter & I feel so blessed to be apart of their lives. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever allowed myself to hope for such a thing as this. David & Mary have truly touched my heart to welcome us into their home with open arms. What wonderful, diligent, devoted, loving parents. They are perfect for Emma in every way. She completes them. As they do her. This only strengthens my testimony that Heavenly Father is mindful of me ~ He is all knowing ~ and he knows the desires of my heart. I have truly been blessed. This has truly been one of the best days of my life.

I am always amazed by how many people come up to Peter & I after every plane ride to compliment us on how well behaved our children were on the airplane. What's not to like about... the view out your airplane window, digi-player movie and cartoons, a complimentary soda/juice drink, all you can eat snacks & treats packed from home of course, time to color, read a book with your Mom or Dad, take a much needed nap, & play with your favorite toys your Mom packed for you from home. I thought all kids loved to fly the skies. But I guess not. I don't know what other kids they have been flying with but my kids have always enjoyed the ride.

Peter & I were treated to a romantic Valentine's night out on the town & free baby sitting from the wonderful one and only Grammy & Grampy (aka - my parents). What a wonderful night with dinner, dessert & a show called Broadway in Love. Starring our friends Sonia & Lars Callihan and my Dads' counselor in the bishopric AJ Simms & our beloved dog Valley was featured in the performance as Annies' Dog. It was a show that combined songs from "Fiddler on the Roof", "Phantom of the Opera", "the Sound of Music", "Annie", "Lion King", & "Oklahoma" all rolled into one. Some enchanted evening if I do say so myself. That was fun! Thanks for letting us do that Mom & Dad. Peter I really enjoyed being out without our little rascals.

Our Golden Anniversary Dinner

3 Days after we were sealed in the Anchorage, AK temple on our Anniversary I had a tonsillectomy to remove my tonsils. I had chronically inflamed tonsils and would get a deadly strain of strep throat with out fail EVERY YEAR! Turns out that after my surgery they found that I had record size tonsils! I didn't see them, but I can only imagine they were gross. It took me 7 weeks to fully recover. So as soon as I was able to swallow without pain Peter took me to my FAVORITE restaurant, Simon & Seaforts, for our annual celebratory anniversary dinner.

Looking back... it is hard to believe that eight years ago today I gave my little baby girl up for adoption. I never once have felt the sting of regret. My Heavenly Father had His hand in every moment. Leaving me no room for doubt or confusion. But was I willing to listen to the promptings of the spirit. The only thing in the way of me making the commitment to give her to two amazing parents... was me.

It was a cold October morning... I remember the exact moment everything became painfully clear. I wrote David and Mary to let them know of my decision to place my baby with them. I knew once I had told them I was going to follow through. I had come to truly love them and wanted them to have the family they had always dreamed of. The one that I had always wanted for myself. The dreams of me giving Emma an Eternal Family wasn't the way I had always planned for me to give my baby. And although I wasn't apart of the Eternal equation I was willing to give her more than myself, more than just my love for her. She would always be my baby in my heart. She just a part of me as I was a part of her. I would just have to love her from afar.

The day Emma was born was a bittersweet December evening. It was the darkest day of winter solstice, but every day after that the days would gain in brightness. She was beautiful & wide eyed to the world around her. I was excited to meet the baby I had cared for all those long months within my belly. I yearned to hold her in my arms and tell her every moment I had with her that I loved her. Our time was precious. With each little noise, sweet smell of milk on her tiny little mouth, the touch of her baby soft skin against mine I tried so hard to take in... to remember... every moment was so tender. Trying not to think of the days as they passed quickly by. I enjoyed every moment everyday with Emma. But I couldn't keep the time from slipping away.

January 5th came all to quickly and I wish I had done the whole day differently. I spent the whole day entertaining other people. I wish I just would have had a quite day to myself with my little baby and no one else. I was so worried about everyone elses feeling's but my own. I wanted to give everyone else the chance to say goodbye, and in turn I left no time for myself. Ready or not David & Mary were waiting... it was time. I tried to hold back nine months of tears, but it was no use fighting them. I had come this far and it was time to follow through for me to do my part so that Heavenly Father could do the rest.

There were only one set of footprints in the sand that evening as I placed my little Emma in the arms of her awaiting parents. Through all of the tears Emma slept soundly unaware of the exchange. As I embraced Mary close to my heart I asked her to do one thing for me. "When you kiss her, will you kiss her twice? Once for you and once for me."

As they drove off into the darkness I felt my heart leave with her. With my Emma Jane. I almost as if I were morning her death. For she was gone. And I remained. Alone. Heartbroken. Empty. There were many dark and depressing years that followed every December, every January. I didn't know were I belonged, I know I am not her mother but she still felt like my baby. I didn't know how to grieve her how to let go. All the while I knew she was meant to be with David & Mary. I know that my Father in Heaven helped guide me in my decision. I never did regret any of the decisions that I made in giving Emma a forever family. But I did miss her. I wondered what her laugh sounded like, how her hair felt as it ran through my fingers, would she know me... Would she remember the I once loved her just as her mother does now.

My beloved Uncle Brad died suddenly and tragically eight days before my 25th birthday. We buried him the following weekend, on my birthday. We were able to have dinner with David & Mary later that evening. As much as I would have loved to see Emma. I didn't want to. I wasn't prepared. We had dinner just the four of us. It was lovely. It was as if we had never been apart from them. All the feelings of peace and comfort that I had felt nearly 6 years earlier came flooding back.

As I looked at Mary I saw pieces of myself. She loved to do all of the same things I did. From pictures, scrap booking, arts, & crafts to gardening flowers, music, & traveling. Her sweetness warmed my soul. I knew that I had known her from before this life and beyond the veil. We were old friends, best friends. I knew how much I loved her. Her face was gentle and her eyes danced when she spoke of Emma in all her accomplishments. Looking at David, he was everything a Dad ought to be and then some. He reminded me of all the things I loved about my own father. I was first drawn to David and Mary because of his name. His name is very dear to my heart. David is my dad's name. I love my father, we are very close. This was no coincidence. It was Divine destiny.

It was an unusually scorching May afternoon in California a year later. We had brought our three very small children (and with one on the way) to the L.A. zoo where we met Emma with David, Mary, & little baby brother Sam in tow. I wasn't sure what to expect that I would feel. As I looked into the eyes of a young 6 1/2 year old girl, who looked far from the infant I held in my arms all those years ago, she looked back unknowingly. As I beheld her sweet face it was as if I was looking at Peter's mirrored reflection. The resemblance was unmistakable. Emma's beautiful blue eyes were the only thing that reminded me of myself.

When she called for her mother, it wasn't me that she called for. I was not the mother she knew, loved, & wanted to comfort her. I wanted to touch her, to hold her close to me. I was afraid. I was too terrified that my emotions would betray me and that I was going to begin to cry uncontrollably. I didn't dare touch her. The last thing I wanted to do would be to confuse her. She wouldn't understand why this strange woman is holding her sobbing. As the afternoon hours passed surprisingly Emma came to me and held my hand only for a moment. It caught me off guard but I welcomed it. I no longer felt sadness. My heart was full.

Peter and I have been happily married for seven years this last November 7th. We were sealed for time and all eternity to our four beautiful children: Jolee, Ethan, Logan, & Kylee. As I knelt across from my sweet husband with my darling little angels gathered around me I thought of David, Mary, & Emma. This is what I had always wanted for her. This is why having an eternal family is so important. I finally had what I had always wanted for myself, for my own little children. An Eternal Family. With God all things are possible. Now we can live happily forever after together.

It is hard to believe my baby boy is 5 years old now! I remember the day he was born as if it were yesterday. I can recall every detail vividly. Ethan looked so much like Peter even from birth. We would call him Re-Pete... You know the saying "Pete & Repeat".

Uncle Loren found some moss outside and decided it would make for good facial hair. And of course Ethan saw great Dragon Warrior, Pirate King, & Kung Fu Karate Master possibilities. So they decided to GLUE the moss to their faces (with wood glue-a carpenters choice).

One of my fondest memories of my childhood is of my Dad making bread. He always made the recipe his own with a little adjustment here and there. My Dad would make bread everyday @ 5am. So that when I would get up for school that morning there would be HOT fresh bread fresh out of the bread maker to make my sandwhich for lunch. The best was when Dad would make bread right before church on Sunday and set it to be ready as soon as we arrived home from church. There is nothing better than having warm bread with melted butter & honey. YUMMY!

It all started when she bit into an ear of corn @ the Alaska State Fair. She informed both Peter & I that she could no longer eat any more corn because her tooth was loose. I looked at her and told her to stop pulling my leg. You have only had a couple of bites and you need to finish your food. She told me she couldn't because it was going to fall out of her face. I asked if I could feel the tooth in question... and sure enough it was a little wiggly.
